Michelle is the co- founder/executive director of Animals 101, a Florida non-profit
organization dedicated to humane education. She co-founded Pawsibilities
Unleashed, a cell-dog program in Palm Beach County that teaches inmates to raise
and train puppies for Canine Companions for Independence. She has received the
prestigious Superintendent’s Award for Excellence in Education and Palm Beach
County’s Animal Kindness Award.  She is a past member of the Dog Writers
Association of America and past boardmember of the Association of Professional
Humane Educators (APHE.org). Michelle is a licensed Delta Society evaluator and a
volunteer with Siamese Cat Rescue and Busch Wildlife Sanctuary and coordinates a
program with domestic violence shelters to help animal victims of family violence.
She is currently employed as Humane Education Coordinator with the Humane
Society of the Palm Beaches (hspb.org)

She resides in South Florida with her husband John, an attorney, three rescued
cats, a rescued Golden Retriever named Murphy and a Standard Poodle named
Tabitha.
